What this feature does

Covenant Monitoring shows covenant performance and compliance status in one dashboard. It helps you identify upcoming risk, review details, and act before a breach.

Before you start

  • You have access to covenant dashboard views.
  • Documents and related covenant data are available.
  • Alert notifications are enabled for your user account.

Steps

  1. Open Covenant Monitoring from the main menu.
  2. Use filters for borrower, facility, or reporting period.
  3. Review status tiles and trend indicators.
  4. Select a covenant row to open detailed view.
  5. Check threshold, current value, next test date, and evidence.
  6. Review alerts and assign follow-up actions.
  7. Save notes and track status updates.

Compliance statuses

  • Compliant: Current value is within covenant threshold.
  • Warning: Value is close to threshold and needs attention.
  • Breach: Value crossed threshold and needs immediate action.
  • Unknown: Data is incomplete or not yet validated.

What alerts look like

Alerts appear as highlighted rows, status badges, and notification items with covenant name, severity, and due date.

What to do when threshold is approaching

  1. Open covenant detail and confirm the latest value.
  2. Check source evidence and date recency.
  3. Notify the responsible analyst or risk owner.
  4. Log action plan and review date.

Tips

  • Review warning items at least once per day.
  • Use saved filters for repeat monitoring views.
  • Prioritize covenants with near-term test dates.

Troubleshooting

  • Status shows Unknown: Confirm required inputs are available and validated.
  • Alert volume is high: Adjust filters and focus on breach first.
  • Covenant not visible: Check role permissions and facility scope.
