Product Terms

  • DIP: Document Intelligence Platform, Smartflow's core capability layer for ingesting, extracting, structuring, and validating content from loan documents.
  • Extraction: The process of identifying and structuring target data fields from source documents.
  • Confidence Score: A model-derived certainty indicator for extracted fields used to guide review prioritization.
  • Provenance: The traceable link from extracted output or answer back to specific source text.
  • HITL: Human-in-the-loop review workflow used to validate or correct machine outputs.
  • Golden Record: A reconciled, trusted dataset assembled from multiple data sources.
  • Data Quality Score: A quantitative score (0-100%) indicating completeness, consistency, and rule conformance of data.

Loan Industry Terms

  • Syndicated Loan: A loan provided by a group of lenders to a single borrower under a shared agreement.
  • Facility Agent: The administrative agent coordinating operational obligations across lenders and borrower.
  • Covenant: A contractual obligation or financial threshold the borrower must satisfy.
  • Benchmark Terms: Market standard clauses or ranges used to compare deal structures.
  • APLMA / LMA / LSTA: Industry associations that publish standard syndicated loan documentation conventions.
  • LoanIQ: Finastra's loan servicing platform used by many institutional lenders.
  • Credit Agreement: Primary legal contract defining loan economics, obligations, and protections.
  • Term Sheet: Preliminary commercial summary of key deal terms.
  • Amendment: A formal change to an executed agreement.
